Biarritz

What was once a modest port village, inhabited only by a few families of fishermen and farmers is now renowned for surfing and its beautiful beaches.

In the past, Biarritz was a small village mainly inhabited by whaling, until the disappearance of its animals from the coasts. In the 18th century, Bayonese doctors developed sea baths for their medical and curative virtues. They will then attract all the French aristocracy.

Thanks to the construction of their summer residence on the coast, Biarritz has grown without previously. Numerous constructions have emerged such as villas, palaces or even walks. Biarritz becomes the “beach of the kings”.
In the 1950s, surfing arrived on Biarrotes land, directly from California and will never leave the area.
