Shoreditch

Shoreditch has had its share of ups and downs – back in the day it was a wealthy neighbourhood, home to traders and factors owners, but then things went downhill and it became well dodge.

In the 90s, artists and creative types started to move in, and over the past 10 years, it’s become one of the coolest areas in London – too cool for some, with big chains taking over boutiques and rent prices forcing out the younger, artier folk. This has become a common theme in London, and has even coined it’s own phrase – ‘Shordification.’

But whether you love or loathe the hipster-vibe, this is a vibrant, colourful neighbourhood with something for everything – from plentiful street art and swanky coffee shops, to fashion boutiques and Bangladeshi restaurants, it’s hard not to love Shoreditch.
