Marylebone

Located to the north of Oxford Street, this part of London is larger and less showy than Mayfair but still home to some very desirable housing, as well as major tourist attractions such as Madame Tussaud or Baker Street and the fictional haunt of Sherlock Holmes.

To the north are the wide-open green spaces of Regent’s Park (including London Zoo). Marylebone Village is a haven of shops, restaurants, hotels and cultural institutions displaying a character, individuality and balance rarely seen in a major city. All this is just a short walk from Oxford Street – a great way to find some peace.

Famous residents of Marylebone include Charles Dickens, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, H. G. Wells, Barbara Windsor and Madonna. Marylebone is also becoming a great foodie destination, with plenty of flavours and budgets for all.
